FAQ
-
Do you work with Kids or Family Members?
While I find that the best results often come from clients aged 21 and older, I also enjoy working with motivated teens aged 16 and up. Everyone is welcome!
-
How long does coaching typically last, and how often do sessions occur?
You are always in control. Coaching typically is 30 or 60 minutes in length, one time a week.
-
What is the cost of ADHD coaching, and do you offer any payment plans or sliding scale options?
I understand that financial considerations are important for many clients, and I’m here to help! During our complimentary session, I’m open to discussing various payment plans and options that can work for you. I find that the best discounts and most effective coaching relationships often come from a mutual commitment to the coaching process through flexible financing.
It's important to note that the coaching I provide is not classified as therapy, and I do not accept insurance or submit claims. This is a common practice among ADHD coaches, allowing us to focus fully on your personal growth and development without the constraints of insurance requirements.
I look forward to exploring how we can make coaching accessible and beneficial for you!

What exactly does an ADHD coach do?
A Neurodivergent / ADHD coach specializes in helping individuals with ADHD navigate the unique challenges they face in their daily lives. Unlike therapists who focus on diagnosing and treating mental health conditions, ADHD coaches work collaboratively with clients to develop practical strategies and skills tailored to their specific needs.
Here's what an ADHD coach typically does:
1. Goal Setting: We help clients identify their personal and professional goals, breaking them down into manageable steps to make them more achievable.
2. Skill Development: Coaches teach essential skills such as time management, organization, prioritization, and effective communication. We provide tools and techniques that cater to the unique cognitive styles of individuals with ADHD.
3. Accountability: Regular coaching sessions create a structure that encourages clients to stay on track with their goals. We help clients maintain accountability, providing support and motivation throughout the process.
4. Problem-Solving: Coaches assist clients in identifying obstacles and developing strategies to overcome them. We work together to find solutions that fit each individual's lifestyle and challenges.
5. Emotional Support: While coaching is not therapy, we provide a supportive environment where clients can discuss their feelings, frustrations, and successes, fostering a sense of empowerment and self-advocacy.
ADHD coaching is a partnership focused on enhancing self-awareness, building skills, and achieving personal growth. It’s about unlocking potential and helping clients lead more fulfilling lives.

What can you expect from any adhd coach?
ADHD coaching can offer a wide range of benefits for individuals with ADHD. Here are some key ways it can help:
1. Enhanced Self-Awareness: Coaching encourages individuals to better understand their ADHD, including their strengths and challenges. This self-awareness is crucial for developing effective strategies and coping mechanisms.
2. Improved Time Management and Organization: Many adults with ADHD struggle with time management and organization. Coaches provide practical tools and techniques to help clients structure their time, create effective routines, and stay organized, leading to increased productivity and reduced stress.
3. Goal Achievement: ADHD coaching focuses on setting realistic and achievable goals. Whether it’s advancing in a career, pursuing education, or personal development, coaches help clients break down larger goals into smaller, manageable steps, making it easier to track progress and celebrate achievements.
4. Better Communication Skills: Coaches work with clients to develop effective communication strategies, which can improve relationships with colleagues, friends, and family. This includes practicing social skills and learning how to advocate for oneself.
5. Increased Motivation and Accountability: Regular coaching sessions provide a structured environment that fosters accountability. Coaches help clients stay motivated, encouraging them to follow through on commitments and remain focused on their goals.
6. Emotional Support and Resilience: ADHD can often lead to feelings of frustration or low self-esteem. Coaches provide a supportive and non-judgmental space where clients can express their feelings, gain confidence, and build resilience in the face of challenges.
7. Strategies for Comorbid Conditions: Many adults with ADHD also experience anxiety, depression, or other challenges. Coaches can help clients develop strategies to manage these conditions alongside their ADHD, promoting overall well-being.
Overall, ADHD coaching is about empowering individuals to take control of their lives, develop essential skills, and achieve their full potential. It’s a collaborative process that focuses on strengths and fosters personal growth.

Can coaching help with comorbid conditions often associated with ADHD, such as anxiety or depression?
Absolutely! ADHD coaching can be incredibly beneficial for individuals who experience comorbid conditions, such as anxiety or depression. While coaching primarily focuses on developing practical strategies and skills to manage ADHD, it also provides a supportive environment where clients can discuss their feelings and challenges related to these additional conditions.
Coaches often work collaboratively with clients to create tailored strategies that address both ADHD and any co-occurring issues. This holistic approach can empower clients to build resilience, improve their overall well-being, and enhance their quality of life.
However, it's important to recognize that some individuals may benefit from additional support from mental health professionals, such as therapists or counselors, especially if they are dealing with more severe mental health challenges. In such cases, I encourage clients to seek a comprehensive support system that includes both coaching and professional therapy. Together, we can create a well-rounded approach to help you thrive!
